Hazel Frazier DeVaughn, 86, a resident of the Maysville Nursing and Rehab passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at the facility.  She was a longtime resident of the Parry Lane/ Pyles Hill area. 

Mrs. DeVaughn was born in Mason County on October 19, 1930 daughter of the late William L. & Ada Mae Jefferson Frazier.  She was a kind and gentle person and was always a hard worker.  Hazel was active member of the  Washington United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. “J.B.” DeVaughn on July 7, 2014. 

Survivors include a brother, William L. “June” Frazier, Jr. of Maysville; and a nephew Bill (Beverly) Frazier of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and three great nieces, Bethany Mitchell, Brittany Douglas, Bryanna Frazier and several cousins. 

Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Washington United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Beck officiating.  Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the church.  Memorials suggested to Washington United Methodist Church or the Gideons International.  Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May's Lick is serving the family.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
