Robert Fredrick DeVoe, Jr., 85, of May’s Lick passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.  Bob was born in Louisville on October 27, 1938 son of the late Robert F. & Irma Schanzenbacher DeVoe.  He was a retired Professional Engineer & Manager at the Mason County Landfill in Maysville.  He was a former CEO and owner in the Coal Industry.  He was a graduate of the University of Louisville and received his master’s degree at Tennessee Technical College.  Bob was a member of Trinty United Methodist Church and a member of Phi Tau Fraternity. He was Project Engineer of the May’s Lick Community Development Board, including the restoration of the Rosenwald School.  Mr. DeVoe was active in the development of the Cummins Nature Preserve.

            Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Anne Moore DeVoe.  Two sons, Mark DeVoe and Bruce DeVoe; nine grandchildren, Emily Munderloh, Leslie Locker, Megan DeVoe, Kelly DeVoe, Kathryn DeVoe, Hudson DeVoe, Harrison DeVoe, Caitlin Pickett and Grace Brock. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Gary DeVoe and a grandson Brian DeVoe.
