Rev. Charles “C.H.” Harris Williams Jr., was born on November 12, 1959 to the union of Rev. C.H. “Charlie” and Fannie Jackson-Williams in Fleming County, Kentucky.  

Rev. Williams accepted the fact that Jesus is the Son of God at an early age and was baptized becoming a member of 1st Baptist Church Nepton, Kentucky.  He receive his formal education from the Mason County School system graduating in 1977.  Upon graduation he furthered his education at the Maysville Community College.  Rev. Williams was employed at the Carnation Can factory in Maysville, Kentucky for several years and various other companies in Kentucky and Texas before returning to farm life.

Rev. Charles Williams Jr. was also an active member of 2nd Baptist Church May’s Lick where he accepted his call into the ministry of preaching the gospel.  He was also serving actively at Bethsaida Baptist when he accepted the call to pastor at 1st Baptist Church Ripley, Ohio.

Rev. Williams was always found serving not only at his church, but also within the Consolidated Baptist District Association holding various offices.  He served his community of Mason County by working closely with the restoration of The May’s Lick Negro School and was involved in helping to ensure the school was officially recognized as a Rosenwald school, he also was involved in starting a Nursing Home Ministry.  Rev. Williams also served the community where he pastored in Brown County working with the Catholic Charities Food for all Mobile Pantry, The Ripley Ministerial Association, and helping with the Ripley Community dinners.

He loved family, particularly reunions and children, he loved to cook, bake and eat.  He was one of the best at frying whiting fish.  

Rev. Charles Harris Williams Jr. passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at Meadowview Hospital, in Maysville, Kentucky.  Both of his parents proceed him in death.

He is survived by a very special friend, Linda Smith,  5 sisters, Minister Ella (Roney) Campbell of Richmond, Frances (John Robert) Blackford,  Lisa (Minister Jimmy) Jones,  Olivia Kay Williams of Lexington and Roberta (Rev. Terry) Jackson of London, Kentucky.   He is also survived by 4 nephews Marshall Williams, Jontez Jones, Joral Jones, and Joseph Jackson, 3 nieces, Sabrina Mabson-Powell, Latavia Campbell, and Diamond Jordan, 3 great nephews Kristoffer and Kydan Powell,  Jai’Mere Williams, 1 great niece  Allie Waite, one adopted granddaughter Soleil Corde and a Legion of family and friends.
