CLARK TURNER Obituary

Clark Turner, 90, of Flemingsburg passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at his home. Clark was born on January 1, 1929 in Fleming County to the late Avery & Annie Moran Turner. Mr. Turner was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Browning Manufacturing in Maysville, worked as a driver for Bruner Lumber and later Graham Lumber, and was a farmer. Clark enjoyed fishing, gardening, cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren, and loved to dance.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Leoda Donaldson, Hazel Story, Alice Spencer, Irma Stephens & Lou Ellen Planck.

He is survived by his of 60 years, Verena Cropper Turner, his daughter, Debbie Young (Brian) of Flemingsburg, his grandchildren, Gene Hickerson (Betty), Carla Story (Andrew), his great grandchildren, Seth Hickerson, Tanner Story, Mackenzie Story, and his step great grandchildren, Morgan Alexander & Zack Alexander.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1PM, on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May’s Lick with Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. Interment and Military Honors will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery. Serving as active Casket Bearers will be Bruce Darnell, Joe Collins, Stephen Story, Bill Story, Sam Landreth & Andrew Story. Honorary bearers are Jack Collins, Woody Graham, Gene Hickerson, Ricky Cropper, Nicky Cropper and Zack Alexander. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM on Sunday, and from 12 – 1 PM on Monday at the Funeral Home.
