MAYS LICK Harry Sapp, 80, of May’s Lick passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Maysville Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility on Monday, August 5, 2019.
Harry was born in May’s Lick on April 29, 1939 son of the late Charley & Victoria Cobb Sapp. He was a retired School Bus Driver in the Mason County School System and had been employed by Browning Manufacturing. Most of all he was a lifelong farmer and an avid Royal and UK basketball fan. He attended Shannon United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Maxine Devon Sapp; two daughters Leslie (Barry) Gifford and Lori (Clay) King; four grandchildren, Keith (Jamie) Gifford, Jenny (Nick) Wright, Carson and Cody King; five great grand-children, Barry, Grace, Ransom, Ryder and Justin; a sister, Reba Schanz; a brother, Tony Sapp. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Justin Sapp and a son-law Barry Gifford; seven brothers, Stanley, Leslie, Roy, Charles, Jack, Tommy and James Sapp; three sisters, Ann Brisley, Frances Bartlett and Eunice Reed.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home and Crematory in May’s Lick with Rev. Mike McCarter officiating. Burial will follow in the May’s Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 A.M until 1 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials suggested to Shannon United Methodist Church. Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
