LEWISBURG John Richard “Dick” Brannon, a life-long resident of Lewisburg, Kentucky, died April 17, 2019 at the age of 53. Dick was born on February 1, 1966 and was the son of Edward and Mary Margaret “Margie” Griffith Brannon. His parents preceded him in death as did his sister, Kathy Brannon.
Survivors include a daughter, Bailey Marie Brannon of Flemingsburg; a son, Tanner Hord of Tollesboro, three brothers and one sister: Charles Edward Brannon and his wife, Clara; Mark Brannon; Timothy Brannon, all of Maysville; and Jane Brannon and her husband, Jay Richardson, of Lexington. In addition, he is survived by two nieces, Jennifer Brannon Brooks of Paris; Kim Brannon Asbrock of Hebron; eight nephews, Charles Brannon of Brooksville; Edward Brannon of Lewisburg; Kyle Brannon of Bowling Green; Tyler Brannon of Somerset; Timothy Brannon of Tollesboro; Thomas Brannon of Black Oak; and Allan and Griffith Richardson of Lexington.
Dick graduated from Mason County High School in 1985. He farmed with his brothers in Mason County until his death.
Prayers for the deceased will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May’s Lick with Rev. Eric Boelscher officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 27th.
