Kizzie Lee Chambers, 84, of Maysville left this world on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Lexington to be with her heavenly Father.
Mrs. Chambers was born in Mt. Olivet, Kentucky on January 9, 1935 daughter of the late Charles & Lydia Anderson Williams. She was a retired School Bus Driver and Dietitian. Kizzie was a great matriarch of the family. She was loved by everyone and she loved everyone. She loved her family and nurtured many children, nieces and nephews. Kizzie was a great woman of faith that trusted in God. She was a determined woman who later in life pursued and obtained her GED, despite the obstacles of everyday living. She was a longtime member of Scott United Methodist Church. She loved to play bingo, loved to shop for antiques, enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing those numbers. She never met a stranger, people or animals. Holidays were a great joy to her because family and friends would gather there for good food and good times.
Survivors include nine children, Patricia Bolden, Mary Bolden Gragston, Wilma (Fess) Bolden Matthews, Judy Thompson, Ben Chambers Jr., Earl Chambers, James Chambers, Marcella Chambers, and Ernest (Barbara) Chambers; five siblings, Barbara Williams, Anna Ruth Pierceson, Helen Williams, Frances Parks and Marshall Williams. A host of grandchildren, great grand children and great-great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben S.”Sammy” Chambers in 2010 ; a grandchild Michelle Bolden Williams and eleven siblings.
Services will be conducted at Noon on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Scott United Methodist Church in Maysville with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Visitation 11 AM till Noon Wednesday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home and Crematory of May’s Lick is serving the family.
