MAYS LICK  Mary Swim Hinson, 57 of May’s Lick, passed away on December 3, 2017 at her home.

Mary was born in Lewis County on June 16, 1960, to the late Harrison “Toot” and Leona Eddington Swim. 

With a friendly ear and empathy at her finger tips, Mary was a beloved hairdresser for over 30 years and the owner of Mary’s Classic Cuts. Mary had a passion for gardening and canning, and an unmatched love for her animals.  She was overjoyed and most proud of being “Memaw”. 

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Jackie Hinson; Her two daughters, Jenna (Mikel) Bradley of Flemingsburg and Laura (Matt) Bonner of Jacksonville, NC; stepdaughter, Camaron (Casey) Jones of Ewing and stepson, Jesse Hinson (Hannah Rickett) of Maysville; grandsons, Elijah Bradley and Brayden Jones; brother, Leroy (Terry) Swim of Flemingsburg; and dear friend, Bonnie Turner. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Georgia Doyle and Della Browning.  

Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Home and Crematory in May's Lick with Chaplain Keith Sergent officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
