Nettie Mae Black, 91, of Maysville passed away on Tuesday August 27, 2019 at Maysville Nursing & Rehab Facility.
Mrs. Black was born in May’s Lick on October 22, 1927 daughter of the late James A. & Rida Lofton Davis. She was a member of Scott United Methodist Church.
Survivors include eleven children, Earl Black, Kay (Herschel) Taylor, Jean Black, Don (Dee) Black, Jerry (Tina) Black, Teresa Wilburn, Michael (Renee) Black, Lisa (Cere) Myrick, Mark (Rosemary) Black, Gregory (Laurie) Black and Deron (Cassie) Black; 25 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a brother George Davis; two sisters, Louise Lang and Gloria Jackson; two sisters-in-law Kathryn Black and Brenda Black. She was preceded in death by her husband John E. Black; two sons, Charles R. Black and John Black, Jr.; a daughter Cheryl A. Black; a brother Charles Davis and a sister Corrine Owens.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Scott United Methodist Church with Pastor Claude T. Commodore officiating. Burial will follow in the May’s Lick Cemetery.
