RAYMOND ELLIOTT "RAY" HELTON

MAYSVILLE   Raymond Elliott “Ray” Helton, 75, of Maysville passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at his residence. Ray was born in Newnan, Georgia on October 17, 1943 son of the late Raymond Lawrence & Haysel Hyde Helton. He was a 1967 graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He then obtained an MBA at Morehead State University. Ray was owner of Sterling Electric in Indianapolis. He was an avid golfer and a supporter of the Maysville Country Club and was a member of First Christian Church. As well, he was a proud supporter of Georgia Tech Athletics.

          Survivors include his wife Linda Roberson Helton; his children, Kathryn Jordan (Holly), Karen Rapoport (Jonathan), Chris Roberson (Carla) and Amy Roberson Dudley (Wm); eight grandchildren, Lucia, Elliott & Mazie Jordan, Avery & Landon Rapoport, Shelby & Samantha Roberson & Kaitlyn Craft; three brothers, Kenneth Helton (Deborah), Steve Helton (Mavis) and David Helton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Helton.

          Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Maysville with Rev. C. Wayne Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at the convenience of the family at Liberty Christian Church Cemetery in Newnan, GA. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Pawsat, Kenny Ross, Tom Dunn, Dave Clarke, Bill Hensley, Joe Traxel and Mike Walton. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Wald Park INC, P.O.
