Srinivasan Jagannatha Iyengar, 87, of Maysville passed away with his family by his side on August 21, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Iyengar was born in Mumbai, India, on November 28, 1931. He was the son of the late Krishnamachari J. Iyengar & Vedavalli J. Iyengar.
He was retired from British Airways, where he had worked for over 30 years, and he loved to travel the world over. He enjoyed cooking, playing with and mentoring the kids and grandkids, walking with the company of his family’s dogs, and singing. He was always there when needed the most.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Kamala Srinivasan; two sons, Raghuraman Srinivasan ( Terri) of Maysville, Vasudevan Iyengar (Vijayalakshmi ) of Plainsboro, NJ; and a daughter Rema Kumar ( S R Kumar ) of Lilburn, GA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Rohit Kumar, Arjun Kumar (Megha) , Arvind Vasudevan, Madhusudan Vasudevan, Amrita Srinivasan, Gita Srinivasan, Michael Srinivasan and Ganesh Srinivasan; two great grandchildren: Matrika and Aanya (Arjun); and three brothers: J. Parthasarathy, J. Narayanan and J. Ramaswamy. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Krishnamachari, and sisters Bhooma Rajan and Hemalatha Vasudevan.
