Barbara Prather Lennex, 71, of Maysville passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at her home after an illness of several months.  She was a well-known real estate sales person for Independent Realty and the wife of William "Buck" Lennex.  Barbara was born in Higginsport, OH on August 2, 1942 daughter of Ethelene Bartlett Prather of Maysville and the late William Prather.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.   Barbara was a member of the Higginsport Christian Church but loved the Shannon United Methodist Church where her family attended and where her father, William and grandparents Florence and Albert Prather are buried.

Barbara loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Survivors other than her husband and mother include a son Glenn (Robin) Nichols of Moscow, OH; a step son Billy Lennex of Orlando, Florida; two sisters, Patricia (Michael) Massie and Billie J. (Eugene) Peters both of Maysville. Several nieces & nephews including Dr. David (Jane) Dome, Christopher Stapleton, Damone (Treyson) Greene, Tina Blank (Jeremy} and Cheyenna Fowler (Jeremy); and sister in laws, Marge Hargett and Nettie (Bill) Howard.  She was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Johnston.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 PM, on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Shannon United Methodist Church.  Family visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. followed by open visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday at the Church.  Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Oh.

Serving as Pallbearers are David Dome, Chris Stapleton, Damone Greene, Eugene Peters, Jeremey Harris and Chris Prather.  Honorary, Michael Massie.
