Betty Elvira Brooks, 67, of Maysville passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.  Betty was born in Georgetown, OH on February 18, 1957, daughter of the late Leonard Earl & Nellie Mae Garrison Brooks.  She was a retired longtime employee of DeSha's Restaurant in Maysville.  Betty had a contagious personality and never met a stranger.  She liked gospel music and playing the lottery and bingo.  Betty had a special talent for poem writing and loved her grandchildren more than words can express.

Survivors include Joseph Jackson; two daughters, Shavon (Christopher Wood) Khadiri and Daylanka (Dwight) Adams.; four grandchildren Kamar Collins, Khyaire Thompson, Avery Adams and Azaria Adams; two brothers, Leonard Brooks and Otis Brooks; four sisters, Ada Brooks, Melissa Brooks, Mildred Brooks and Willa Brooks Kidd.  She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Nancy Williams, Desi Mae Brooks & Willa Meana Brooks and a brother Troy Brooks.

A memorial service will be conducted to celebrate her life at 2 P.M. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at May's Lick Volunteer Fire Department Community Center. Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net.
