Bill Mauk, 86, of Maysville passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at his home. He was a retired mechanic for Ashland Oil where he worked for 42 years and was a US Marine Veteran serving in Korea.
Bill was born in Greenup Co. on February 29, 1928 son of the late Willis and Flora Webb Mauk. He was a member of Elizaville Christian Church and was a faithful attender of New Hope Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years Bonnie Setser Mauk; two daughters, Karen (Tom) Cox of Vanceburg; Kathy (Jim) Rice of May's Lick; a granddaughter, Hannah Rice. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Joe, Howard and Carl Mauk; a sister, Bess Evelyn Turner.
Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at New Hope Christian Church with Bro. Tom Cox Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Brick Union Cemetery in Greenup County. Visitation 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the church and 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Memorials suggested to New Hope Christian Church. Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the family.
