ABERDEEN  Bishop Jackson Hunter (BJ) passed away on April 2, 2017 in Maysville, Kentucky at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe after battling an extended illness.

BJ was born on March 1, 1936 in Honaker, Kentucky to the late Mary Jane (Marshal) and Craig Hunter. He was a former resident of Centerburg, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; wife, Helen (Harn) Hunter; 3 infant siblings; 5 sisters, Pearle, Verlie, Gervie, Virginia (Virgie), and Myrtle; and 2 brothers, Marvin and Junior (Chester).

He is survived by his current wife, Betty Hunter of Aberdeen, Ohio; sister, Barbara Sue Kidd of Kentucky; children, Cristal (Richard) Cleveland of Deltona Beach, Florida, Michael (Jill) Hunter of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Dale (Teresa) Hunter of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Brian (Stacy Mackie) Hunter of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Brent Hunter of Columbus, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, Jacob, Connie, Chelsi, Cody, Caleb, Cynthia, Courtney, Paige, Travis, Trevor, Kirsten, Tyler, Michaela, Trenton, and Faith; 3 great grandchildren, Kailynn, Trendin, and Ava Grace; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of Hope and requests memorial donations made to: Hospice of Hope at 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056.
