MAY'S LICK
Carolyn Devon Cracraft, 73, of Sardis passed away unexpectedly Friday at her home. She was born in Mason County, on Dec. 9, 1938, daughter of the late James and Irene Dillon Devon.
Carolyn was a dedicated farmer, homemaker, and member of the Sardis community. She was first and foremost devoted to her family but she also enjoyed gardening cooking, and volunteering in the community.
She was well known for her beautiful flower gardens, cookbook collections, and volunteer work in the local nursing home. She was the recipient of the Robertson County Health Care Humanitarian of the Year Award.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Samuel Patrick Watts, and son-in-law, Thomas Patrick Murray.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ruby Allen Cracraft. Four children: Beth Cracraft Murray Pendergraft (Robert) of Grovetown, GA , Kay Cracraft Watts (Mike), North Bend, OH, James Allen Cracraft, and Sarah Jane Cracraft of Mt. Olivet, Four Grandchildren: Lauren Murray O'Neil (Ryan), Juliana Katherine Murray of Grovetown, GA , Kelsey Marie Watts and Logan Michael Watts of North Bend, OH, One Sister, Maxine Sapp (Harry) of May's Lick, Her mother-in-law, Edna Cracraft and numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn will be sadly missed by her husband, children, family, and friends.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Palmer Funeral Home in Mays Lick.
Interment will follow in the Shannon Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Keith Gifford, Rick McDaniel, Scott Moulis, Robert Sponaugle, Gary Tuel, and Nick Wright.
