Charles DeWayne Chaffins, 66 of May’s Lick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on May 27, 1959, in Martin, Kentucky to the late Charles and Delores Rudy Chaffins. He was a loving father, grandfather, avid hunter, fisherman, and skilled contractor. He contributed to the construction of numerous establishments throughout Maysville, Kentucky.

He is survived by his children, Mickey (Sarah) Parsons, Alicia Paige, Virginia (Jerry Jones) Chaffins, Charles Glen (Kayla) Chaffins; grandchildren, MaKenna Paige, Abbie Jones, Peyton Chaffins, Brianna Chaffins, Delilah Chaffins, Samuel Jones; his former wife and loving best friend, Janice Paige; aunts, Carol Sue (Rufus) Salmons, Linda (Larry) Hicks, several cousins, extended family and close friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elisha and Ida Chaffins, Virginia, and James Castle; his parents, Charles and Delores Chaffins, several aunts, uncles, and one cousin, Brianna Castle.

Graveside services will be held at Shannon Cemetery on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Mickey Parsons officiating.
