Connie Collins Dotson, 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on June 15, 1947, in Mason County, Kentucky to the late Wood Clifford Muse and Mae Alexene Long.
Connie held a position in the registration department at Hayswood Hospital before continuing her career with Brock McVey, where she dedicated twenty-seven years of service prior to retirement. She and her late husband, Roger Dotson, enjoyed the simple things in life. They enjoyed being home together and spending holidays with family and friends. Connie enjoyed visiting Gatlinburg, TN for dinner shows with her niece whenever possible. She had an immense love for animals and always kept a dog. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left here to carry on her loving legacy are her niece and caregiver, Cindy (Allen) Dale; Brother, Jim (Brenda) Muse; nephews, Mike (Cecilia) Dotson, Allen (Hope) Dotson; nieces, Crystal (John) McDade, Danielle (Brian) Beckett; great-nieces, Tabatha (Jason) Butler, Rory McDade; special friend, Bill Newell, and a host of extended family and friends. Connie also leaves behind her furry friend who she adored, Izzy-B, the dog.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday August 30, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Connie will be laid to rest in the Shannon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Beckett, Jim Muse, Allen Dale, Mike Dotson, Allen Dotson, and Eddie Dillion.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Connie's name to the Shannon Global Methodist Church, C/O Dick Clary 4065 KY 596, May's Lick, KY 41055. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their upmost care and kindness they bestowed for Connie.
