Darren Lee Hull, 49, of May's Lick died Thursday June 19, 2014 in Mason County. He was a member of the Mason County Sheriff's Department serving his community as a Deputy Sheriff and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 82nd Airborne Division in Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf.
Darren was born in Maysville on February 21, 1965 son of Donnie & Joellen Hull of May's Lick. His career in public service began with the Maysville Fire Department, Maysville Police Department, Flemingsburg Police Department and currently Mason County Sheriff's Department.
Survivors other than his parents are his wife of 27 years Tina Hart Hull. 2 sons, Christopher (Jordan) Hull, Deputy Sheriff with Boone County Sheriff's Office; Devin (Leslie) Hull, Deputy Sheriff Mason County Sheriff's Office; 2 brothers, Clay "Corky" (Suzy) Hull of May's Lick and Jeff Hull of Maysville and a sister Jodi (Mike) Manley of May's Lick. Several nieces & nephews also survive.
Memorial service will be conducted at 11 A.M Monday, June 23, 2014 at Maysville Church of the Nazarene with Chaplain Lonnie Blosser & Chaplain Bob Hudson officiating. Officer honors will be conducted by the Maysville Police Department at the church. The family will receive friends from 9 A.M. Monday until the hour of the service at the church.
