David Keith Shepherd, 56, of May's Lick, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Born in Maysville on December 14, 1969,  David was the son of Bonnie Cox Shepherd and the late S.C. Shepherd II.

He was a lifelong farmer and mechanic. He enjoyed working on trucks and farm equipment and doing custom farming in the area.

David is survived by his fiancé of 15 years, Donna Roberts; his daughter, Elizabeth Boswell; his mother Bonnie; and his three siblings, Steven Shepherd (Mary Jo), Deborah Holland (Everett "Bud"), and Cindy Taylor. He is also survived by his six nieces and nephews, Christopher Holland, Ethan Taylor, Mary Katherine Shepherd, James Shepherd, Jack Shepherd and Chancelor James Shepherd; along with many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father S.C.

A Celebration of Life will be begin at 12:30 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2026, at Highland Christian Church with Pastor Justin Butler officiating.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:30 pm at the church.

In place of flowers, memorials are suggested to the May’s Lick Volunteer Fire Department.
