Donald Lee Faul, 98, died Saturday August 9, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born August 8, 1927, in Maysville, KY, son of the late Hervey Faul and Beulah (Littleton) Faul.
Don was a beloved husband, respected father and uncle, and cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a WWII Army veteran where he proudly served his country in Germany and Austria. Don spent many years working in IBM's Research and Development model shop in Lexington, Kentucky before retiring. Don was a 60+ year dual member of the Masonic Lodge in Maysville and Lexington. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan where he coached the men's basketball from his very own chair. Don demonstrated exceptional talent in woodworking and possessed great carpentry skills. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Don was preceded in death by Mary Louise (Wagner) Faul, his beloved wife of 70 years; his daughter and son, Sandra F. Hamilton and Steve Faul; his brother Robert Faul, his sister Dottie F. Ginn and in-laws, Rosie Faul, Jack and Ruth (Wagner) Chapman, and Valoran Ginn. Don is survived by his son, Larry Lee (Linda) Faul; his grandchildren, Dr. Leigh Anne Faul, Andy (Lynn) Faul, John T. (Jessica) Hamilton III, Lafe Faul and Jessica (Ron) Best; his great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Shea Faul, LillyKate Louise Hamilton and Brandon Best; and his nieces and nephew, Barbara Faul, Deborah (Samuel) Hampton II, Larraine June Ginn, Samantha (Adulfo) Villarreal and Troy Ginn.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick, KY. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until the hour of service. Maysville Lodge #52 will deliver a brief Masonic service, followed by full Military honors.
