MAY'S LICK  Donald E. Jones, 74, of May's Lick passed away Sunday. May 29, 2011 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.  He was the husband of Shirley Doss Jones.
Mr. Jones was born in Orangeburg on May 7, 1937 son of the late Charles & Ida Gallagher Jones.  Don was a farmer for most of is life and had a great love of the land.  Additionally, he was retired from the Clopay Corporation of Augusta.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, yard sales, flea markets, Kentucky basketball and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always interested in their lives and activities and loved hearing about their adventures.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Doris A. Bays Jones and his son Sgt. Jeremy S. Jones. 2 brothers, Charles and Richard Jones and 5 sisters, Ruth Litzinger, Helen White, Betty Jenkins, Hazel Jones and Pauline Clark.
Survivors other than his wife are  2 daughters, April (George) McGuire of Raeford, NC and Donna Jean (Stan) Tomasevich of Harleysville, PA.  1 son Andy (Amy) Jones of Liberty Township, OH. A daughter-in-law Chasity Jones Given of Lexington.  6 granddaughters, Shaye DePew, Jenna Kate & Ali Tomasevich, Julia, Jocelyn and Gweneth Jones, one grandson, Justin Duncan. 4 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Trinity, Logan and Maddison. Also 3 step-children, Tammy Spencer, Fabian Anderson and Bridget Case. 8 step grandchildren, Leland and Logan Spencer, Brooke and Chad Anderson, Robert Gibson, Zoe Morris, Lulu and Gigi Case. 2 brothers, Kenneth Jones, Roy Jones and a sister Imogene Fite .
Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Rev. Richard Price officiating.  Burial will follow in the May's Lick Cemetery.  Visitation 6-8 P.M.
