Duane Allen Whaley, 29, of Aberdeen, OH passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 in Norwood,  OH.  He was a graduate of RULH High School.

Duane was born in Georgetown, OH on May 30, 1987 son of Janet Wilson Whaley of Aberdeen.  He was a landscaper and construction worker. Duane was talented as he excelled as a musician and artist. He loved the outdoors and spending his summer days with a fishing pole, casting out a line, and sitting back with the family. He was a kind hearted soul, always willing to lend a helping hand when one was needed. Towards the end, Duane re-claimed his faith and became a man of the Lord.  His family finds peace knowing his struggles are resolved now that he is with our Lord and Savior.

Survivors other than his mother are a son Sebastian Glenn Whaley; a maternal grandmother, Helen Caudill; two sisters, Shasta (Michael) Hamm and Annette (Bobbie) Whaley; two brothers, Tony (Shelly) Whaley and Timmy Whaley; an uncle, Rick Wilson; two nieces, Shana (James Morrison) Jackson and Maddie Whaley; and a great niece Shaylynn Morrison; also his godparents, Anthony & Betty Whaley.  He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Glenn Wilson.

Burial will be in the Charter Oak Cemetery in Aberdeen at the convenience of the family.  Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May's Lick is serving the family. Memorials suggested to the Salvation Army 2250 Park Ave. Norwood,  OH  45212.   Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
