MAYS LICK Edith Wayne Orme Fulton, 89, a lifelong resident of Sardis passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her home. She was the widow of J.C. Fulton and she and her husband operated Fulton's Ashland Station in Sardis and his death occurred in 1987.
Mrs. Fulton was born in Sardis on November 29, 1923 daughter of the late Ollie & Annie Cantor Orme. She was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was an avid U.K. Basketball fan and was a poll worker for over fifty years and was a member of the Republician party.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Bonnie Price of Lexington and Missy (Allen) Stitt of May's Lick, 2 sons, Ollie Fulton of Sardis and Jeff (Becky) Fulton of Maysville and a daughter-in-law Martha Fulton of Sardis. Seven grandchildren also survive Starla Eicorn, Teresa Fulton, Lori Brookbank, Brandi Stitt, Jessie Brown, Jamie Fulton and Jeffrey Fulton. Five great-grandchildren, Brianna Fulton, Taylor Brown, Clara Fryman, Zorry Fulton and Ben T. Brookbank. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and a son Calvin Fulton in 2008 and a brother Orville "Zorie" Orme.
Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday at Sardis United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery with pallbearers Jamie Fulton, Jeffrey Fulton, Ronnie Burns, Allen Stitt, Joe Orme and Shane Hester. Visitation 5-8 P.M.
