Edward W. "Eddie" Highlander, 67, of Mt. Olivet passed away on Friday April 21, 2017 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.

Eddie was born in Robertson County on October 3, 1949 son of the late Walter Walker Highlander & Sarah Emily Linville.  Farming was his lifelong employment which he enjoyed every day.  He was an avid fisherman and loved UK Basketball and watching western movies.

Survivors include two daughters, Angela Jones of Maysville and Susan Huff of Flemingsburg and a son Roger (Melinda Merritt) Jones of Mt. Olivet; two grandchildren, Leah Huff and Triston Huff.   Also surviving is a sister, Joan Tucker of Bracken Co.;  a special brother-in-law Jimmy Ware of Sardis; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Judith Mofford , Freddie Hester and Karen Burton of Mt. Olivet.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a companion of 24 years Victoria McGlothin; and a sister Linda Sue Ware and a brother William "Bill" Highlander.

Services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick.  Burial will follow in the May's Lick Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from Noon until time of the service on Wednesday.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
