MAYSVILLE….Eldon Norris Wallingford, 87, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Maysville, Kentucky.  He was born on January 24, 1937, in Mason County to the late Maurice and Hazel Hinton Wallingford.

Eldon grew up in Orangeburg, KY where he worked for the Coca Cola Company for 30 years.  He married the love of his life, Ruth Howell Wallingford and began their life together. Eldon was a gentle and loving man who adored his family. He will be remembered for his kind heart and his ability to tell some really tall tales!

Preceding him in death are his parents, Maurice and Hazel Wallingford; brothers, Dwayne Wallingford, Maurice Wallingford, Jr.; granddaughter Meghan Gallagher; great grandson, Austin Wenz.

Those left here to carry on his loving legacy are his wife of 68 years, Ruth Wallingford; daughters, Charlotte (Charles) Courtney, Dana Fawley, Kelly Clark; eight grandchildren, Chad Fawley, Dylan Courtney, Colyn Courtney, Jaclyn Killingsworth, Wesley Evans, Griffin Evans, Harley Wenz; nine great grandchildren; sister, Lora Wallingford; brother, Gerald Wallingford, and host of extended family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Eldon's name to the Mason County Animal Shelter.

In keeping with Eldon's wishes, no formal services will be held at this time. Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory are assisting the family.
