MAY'S LICK Elizabeth "Liz" Adamson Thompson, 87, of May's Lick passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She was a retired bookkeeper and secretary for the May's Lick Mill and later was cashier at Jones May's Lick Market.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Robertson Co. on June 3, 1925 daughter of the late Rev. Earl and Robbie Chloe Wells Adamson. She was a graduate of Deming High School and was the widow of James Raymond Thompson . At the time of his death on April 23, 1995 the couple had been married 51 years. She had a knack for making friends in an instant and she saw the best in everyone. She loved unconditionally and will be missed by all that knew her. She was a member of Shannon United Methodist Church and the May's Lick VFD ladies auxillary.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer (Dannie) Isaac of Carlisle and a son, Ricky (Lisa) Thompson of May's Lick and three grandsons, Justin (Gretchen) Jones, Matthew Thompson, Will Thompson and a niece Rosalyn (Jim) Jones; four great nephews, James Myron (Kathy) Thomas , Billy (Missy) Thomas, Douglas Alan Harber, Donnie Harber and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a sister Louise Harber ; a son-in-law Robert Jones.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, Jan 3, 2013 at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Bro. Bill Henry officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 P.M.
