MAY'S LICK Elmer Gene Bolden, 71, of Nepton Rd. Ewing died Monday, October, 18, 2010 at his residence. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corp and served in the Vietnam War and was formerly owner operator of May's Lick Tire Supply.
Mr. Bolden was born in May's Lick on January 31, 1939 son of the late William & Edna Lofton Bolden. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include 3 brothers, William Bolden, Jr. of Columbus, OH; Roy Bolden of Hampton, VA; Richard Bolden of New Port News, VA and 2 sisters, Peggy Jackson of May's Lick and Betty Rose of Cincinnati. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Marvin Bolden, Nathaniel Bolden and Edward Bolden and a sister Geneva Jackson.
Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Second Baptist Church in May's Lick with Rev. Rodney Bennett and Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the May's Lick Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Simon Kenton Post #2734 VFW. Visitation 6-8 P.M. Friday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the family.
