Ethel Cropper Jones, 86, a resident of Sayre Christian Village in Lexington passed away there on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.  She and her late husband George L. Jones were longtime residents of May's Lick.

Mrs. Jones was born in Fleming Co. on July 3, 1930 daughter of the late Dewey & Mildred Turner Cropper.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law and was an active member of the May's Lick Christian Church.

Survivors include a son Jerry (Tammie) Jones of Nicholasville; a daughter, Linda (George) Whitaker of Hopkinsville; a grandchild, Kyle Whitaker; 3 step grandchildren, Paige & Jason Morton, Dan Whitaker and a step great-grandson Talon Poynter; and a sister, Janet Watson of Lewis County.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a sister Helen Dearing and a twin brother, Elmer Cropper.

Services will be 1 P.M. Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May's Lick with Rev. Kevin Watson officiating.  Burial will follow in the May's Lick Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11 A.M. until time of the service.  Memorials suggested to May's Lick Christian Church or Bethel Christian Church.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
