Evan Griffith Garey,  99, of Maysville died Tuesday August 11, 2015 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
Mr. Garey was born in Maysville on April 15, 1916 to the late Herman and Lillian Griffith Garey.
He was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Army Air Corp.
He worked at Browning Manufacturing and M.C. Russell Company and he was a member of the Helena United Methodist Church
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Garey of Cincinnati, Oh., a son Steven Garey of Florence, Ky. and a sister, Evelyn Beckett of Maysville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Suit Garey, four brothers, Cornelius, William, James and Clifford and two sisters, Dortha Garey and Mary Frances Wilson.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, August 15,2015 in the chapel at the Maysville Cemetery, directed by the Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick and officiated by Pastor Elizabeth Smith.
