MAYSVILLE Frances M. Stokes, 86, of Maysville passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at her residence. She was a retired sales clerk at Merz Brothers in Maysville and a graduate of Sardis High School. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and had currently attended Lewisburg Baptist Church. She was the wife of Hubert Stokes and the couple married on July 6, 1983.
Mrs. Stokes was born in Mason County on March 20, 1926 daughter of the late Leonard Allen and Viola Frances Minqua Moran. Survivors other than her husband are a daughter Karen (Don) Morgan of Maysville and a son David (Rosemary) Tuel of Flower Mound, TX. 5 grandchildren, Valerie (Shawn) Saunders, Jacob Morgan, Jeremy Tuel, Matthew Tuel, and Johnathan Tuel,; 5 great grandchildren, Lindsey Saunders, Madison Morgan, Isabella Morgan, Carter Morgan and Hailey Bellew. 1 sister Lillie Cracraft of Russellville, OH also survives. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Virginia Hardman, Hazel Dillon and a brother, Clinton Moran.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, October 11th at Shannon Cemetery. Rev's Johnathan Groves and Kirk Rolph officiating. Burial will follow.
