George "Mook" Campbell, 90, of the Happy Ridge Community of Mason County passed away on Sunday, June 2,2024 at Perkins Country Manor in Bracken County. Mr. Campbell was born in Mason County on December 21,1933 son of the late Oval & Ruth Hitt Campbell.  He was a retired employee of DP&L and a former employee of Stan Harvey Gas. "Mook" was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He married the love of his life Jill Wells Campbell on April 18, 1959. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage until her passing on February 10, 2016.  He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister Faye Campbell.

Survivors include several cousins including Susan (Billy) Bradford, Allen (Mary) Campbell, Jack Campbell, and Patsy Collins; two nephews, Erich and Lewis Cleaver.

Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May's Lick with Rev.
