Gordon Bolden, 75 of May's Lick, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born in May's Lick on August 16, 1939 to the late Charles Gordon and Mattie Frances Nelson Bolden.
Mr. Bolden was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a Member of the May's Lick Second Baptist Church. He was a tobacco and livestock farmer on the Bolden Family Farm in May's Lick. A strong, humble, hardworking man, he devoted much of himself to his work and family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Loving companion Mary Louise Lang, and a brother, Richard N. Bolden.
He is survived by two daughters; Rita & Carol Lang of Maysville, two grandsons, Chadwick & Tyus Thomas, and his siblings; Lydia Dillingham, Ruby Bolden, Charles (Kay) Bolden, Linda Bolden (Dana) Smith, Vietta (Lucien) Yates, and Billy (Vickie) Bolden, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1PM, on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Second Baptist Church in May's Lick, with the Rev. L. Rodney Bennett & Rev. Randy Taylor officiating, interment will follow in the May's Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM – 1 PM Wednesday at the Church. The Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the Family.
