Hazel Frazier DeVaughn, 86, a resident of the Maysville Nursing and Rehab passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at the facility. She was a longtime resident of the Parry Lane/ Pyles Hill area.
Mrs. DeVaughn was born in Mason County on October 19, 1930 daughter of the late William L. & Ada Mae Jefferson Frazier. She was a kind and gentle person and was always a hard worker. Hazel was active member of the Washington United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. "J.B." DeVaughn on July 7, 2014.
Survivors include a brother, William L. "June" Frazier, Jr. of Maysville; and a nephew Bill (Beverly) Frazier of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and three great nieces, Bethany Mitchell, Brittany Douglas, Bryanna Frazier and several cousins.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Washington United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the church. Memorials suggested to Washington United Methodist Church or the Gideons International.
