MAYSVILLE  Helen Turney Humphrey, 86, of Maysville passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Maysville Nursing & Rehab Facility.  She was a retired cook in the Maysville School System and was the widow of Joseph William Humphrey whose death occurred on April 19, 1997.
Mrs. Humphrey was born in May's Lick on June 7, 1925 daughter of the late Raymond & Bessie L. Williams Turney.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son Wayne "Wanda" Humphrey and a daughter, Karen Jo "Gary" Wormley both of Maysville.  3 grandchildren,  Ursula (steve) Leath, Misti Humphrey, Gary J. Wormley.  3 great grandchildren, Shamar, Ashton and Jaydon.  Several step grandchildren also survive.  3 brothers, Stanley (Flo) Turney and Harold (Annis) Turney of Houston, TX, Herbert (Louise) Turney of Augusta, GA;  3 sisters, Ann (Billy) Johnson of Maysville, Vivian Boston of Tampa, FL and Carol (Earl) Parker of San Diego, CA.  She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Turney, L.D. Turney and a sister Marva Bolden and a great grandson, Jordan Leath.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church in Maysville with Rev. Christopher Lee officiating.  Interment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery.  Visitation 11 A.M.
