Obituary
Rev. Stokes was born in Winston Salem, NC on September 18, 1918 son of the late Harrison W. & Beulah Cass Stokes. He was a retired school teacher and Southern Baptist Minister and he enjoyed traveling and restoring furniture.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Moran Stokes; a son, James A. Schaffer; a sister Barbara Bower and a brother, Kelly Stokes.
Survivors include four grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; a sister Ollie Gentile of Winston Salem, NC and several nieces & nephews.
Graveside service will be Noon on Monday, March 7, 2016 in Shannon Cemetery with Rev. James Rawlings officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick. Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
