Jackie Dale Mitchell, 69, of Mt. Olivet, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Maysville, Kentucky. He was born on August 1, 1955, to the late Robert and Elizabeth White Mitchell.

Jackie worked at Advanced Auto Parts for thirty-five years and was well known to many of the customers. Jackie consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, whether employed at the auto parts store, laboring in the tobacco fields, or managing cattle on the farm. He was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan. Jackie was a well-liked, all-around good guy who was widely respected and admired for his kindness and integrity.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Mitchell.

Jackie leaves behind his sisters, Bonnie Mitchell of Maysville, KY, and Shirley (Bob) Bauer of Cold Spring, KY; brother, Tommy (Carole Leet) Mitchell of Robertson County, KY; niece, Samantha (Ben) Florence; two aunts and uncle, several great nieces, great nephews, numerous cousins and a host of friends and extended family who will miss him beyond measure.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Mike Rice officiating. Jackie will be laid to rest at Shannon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bear Linville, Phil McCord, Steve Mitchell, Tim Mitchell, Donnie Myers, and Ernie Sapp. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Bauer, Jeanine Gifford, Sean Gifford, Peewee Linville, Angie Carpenter, Jenny Myers, Madison Myers, and Chasity Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jackie's name to the Sardis United Methodist Church 41143 US-62, May's Lick, KY 41055 or to any local animal shelter of your choice.
