James C. Rudd, 86, of Maysville passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Rudd was born in Nepton on June 4, 1931 son of the late John  & Charity Clarke Rudd.  He was a retired employee of DP&L and a veteran of the U.S. Army.   He was an avid sports fan and loved playing all kinds of sports with the family.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Lang Rudd; a daughter, Tammy Rudd Hunt of Maysville; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sons, Jeffrey W. Rudd, Conrad Rudd & James R. Rudd; a daughter; Annetta Rudd; a grandson, Jeffrey Rudd;  6 brothers, John, Robert, Amos, Emmitt, Henry and Nathaniel Rudd and a sister, Charity Fraction.

Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Second Baptist Church in May's Lick.  Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Simon Kenton Post #2734 VFW.   A visitation will be held from 11 A.M.
