James Darnall Ritter, 81, died on 23 July, 2014, at his home in Exton, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ritter was born October 20, 1932 in Dothan, Alabama.  His parents were the Reverend Clement Ritter and Anna Pogue Darnall Ritter.  He was raised in the Dothan, Alabama and Cynthiana Kentucky areas.
Mr. Ritter earned his Bachelors and Law Degree at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.  He was a member of the Virginia, Kentucky and Florida Bar Associations.
Mr. Ritter served honorably in the United States Navy from March 1956 to January 1958.
He and his wife, Sally Harris Ritter, were married on April 15, 1978 in New York City.
In addition to being a loving spouse, Mr. Ritter was for many years a successful International Tax Lawyer for the Sperry Corporation in New York City and the Unisys Corporation in Blue Bell, PA.
Mr. Ritter is survived by his wife, Sally Ritter of Exton, Pennsylvania, brother, Clement Ritter, of Frankfort, Kentucky, nephew Mark Ritter and his wife Leah, of Frankfort Kentucky, his nephew Andrew Ritter and his wife Shelly, of Winchester, Kentucky.  Jim is also survived by his childhood friend, John Poulter, formally of Cynthiana Kentucky.
Graveside service will be conducted at Noon on Monday, August 4, 2014 in the May's Lick Cemetery with burial to follow.  Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the family.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
