Janice L. Allison, 76, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1949, in Warwick, New York to the late Alfred and Lois (Wood) Ball.

Janice was employed at East Kentucky Power for over thirty years where she worked as an auxiliary operator at Spurlock Station. After spending hours at the power plant, she often returned home and immediately headed to the farm alongside her husband, Charles. She enjoyed farming with him, baking, and taking care of her animals. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest joy. Janice cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren more than anything else.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lois Ball and her loving husband, Charles Allison.

Surviving Janice is her daughter, Christina (Paul) Mathiasen; granddaughter, Maria (Shaun Crump) Moran; great grandchildren, Wyatt Roberts, Jayden Bieber, Braylen Bieber, Emma Crump, Kenzleigh Crump and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home in May’s Lick. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Janice will be laid to rest with her husband at the May’s Lick Cemetery.
