Janice Jim Warnock, 81, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Thursday July 4, 2024, in Nicholas County, Kentucky. She was born in Knox County on September 8, 1942, to the late Robert Jarvis and Edith Warren Jarvis.
Janice completed her training as a cosmetologist and worked as a hairstylist for several years in Melrose, Florida. She was also an owner of a used car lot in Gainesville, Florida where she worked in the 1980's. Janice worked as a sales associate for Elder-Beerman in Hamilton, Ohio before she retired. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, traveling, and loved collecting anything Elvis Presley. Janice was a kind and loving soul who could always make you laugh. She had a heart of gold and would always put others' needs before her own. She was known to open her home up to family or friends that needed a place to stay. Janice never really met a stranger and loved to talk. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her probably never forgot her goodwill and grace she bestowed for others. Janice adored her family and the Lord. Her faith was unwavering as she will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Robert and Edith Jarvis; brothers, John Jarvis, Jerry Jarvis, Bobby Glenn Jarvis and one sister, Mary Bolinger.
Those left here to carry on her loving legacy are her children, Donna (Jay) Layman, Davey (Laparsha) Warnock, Margie Wright; grandchildren, Christina, Janice, Rebecca, Sandy, Destiny, Charlie, Alexis, Victoria; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Randy Jarvis, Calvin Jarvis, Cliff Jarvis; one sister, Joy Lunsford and several extended family members and dear friends.
In keeping with Janice's wishes, services will be held at the convenience of her family. Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory are assisting the family.
Memorial donations can be made in Janice's name to Hospice of Hope 909 Kenton Station Road Maysville, Kentucky 41056.
