Jerry Taylor Burden 75, of Maysville passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Jerry was born on October 7, 1946, in Maysville to the late Taylor & Deanie Cobb Burden.
Jerry was a lab technician for many years at East Ky Power Spurlock Station. He loved playing music and had multiple bands over the years such as the original "Whatsits" that were local in Maysville, along with Friends and Taylor Made. His personality shined thru being Juke Box Jerry, a fun and spirited disc jockey. Jerry's talent to learn any kind of music and guitar playing abilities put a special place in everyone's heart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Bellamy, brothers, James (Biggin) Burden, Mike Burden, Ricky Burden, and a daughter Elizabeth Burden.
He is survived by his daughter, Kellie Burden (Slate) Carroll, a son, Christopher Burden, his grandchildren, Chelsie Carroll Carter, Isaiah Burden, Amari Burden, and Lily Burden, sisters, Nancy (Tom) Owens, Jackie (Herb) Hopkins and his brothers, Nick (Connie) Burden, Ernie McFarland.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1pm, on Monday, January 3, 2022, in the Chapel at the Maysville Cemetery (1521 Forest Avenue, Maysville, KY 41056) with Pastor Marilyn Roades officiating. Interment will follow. A visitation will be held from 11 am – 1 pm on Monday at the Maysville Cemetery Chapel. The Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
