John W. Alexander Jr., 92, of Sardis went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Maysville, KY. He was born on September 27, 1933, the son of the late John W. and Eudora McGee Alexander. He was a long-time member of the Sardis Christian Church and one of the founding members of the Sardis Lions Club. John retired from EPT/Browning where he was a Gearing Quality Inspector. After retirement, he enjoyed working on the family farm with his family and friends.

Survivors include his two sons, Rick (Betsy) Alexander, and Kirk (Allison) Alexander; two granddaughters, Buffy Edington and Kylie Alexander; great-grandson, Brent Edington and one nephew, Melvin Hughes Jr.

John is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 74 years, Connie Day Alexander; sister Sara Alexander Hughes, and his grandson, Andy Alexander.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Palmer Funeral Home in May’s Lick with Dr. Mike Rice officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to the hour of service. John will be laid to rest next to his wife, Connie, in the Shannon Cemetery.
