John Nelson "Jack" Davis Jr. 81, of Lewisburg died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at the Veteran Administration Medical Center in Lexington.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mr. Davis was born in Lewisburg on August 13, 1932 son of the late John Nelson & Irene Breckenridge Davis.
Survivors include a son Darrell (Kim) Davis of Lexington and a granddaughter, Cheyenne Davis.  3 brothers, Wayne Davis of Maysville, William L. Davis of VA, Winn O. Davis, GA; 4 sisters, Gloria "Polly" Rice of Lewisburg,  Evelyn "Becky" Thomas of Maysville,  Wanda Jean Davis of Lexington and Virginia Lee Sanders of Maysville.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Frances LeVine Davis and 4 brothers, Raymond, Robert, Earl and Fred Davis.
Memorial service will be conducted at 1 P.M. Friday, Jan 24th  at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick.  A gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
