John Lewis Pyles, 89, of Maysville died Saturday, August 10th at Maysville Nursing & Rehab Facility. He was born Sept 18, 1929 to the late Eugene Pyles and Ruth Stafford McCord. Mr. Pyles was retired from the United States Navy in addition to Browning's Manufacturing. He is survived by his son Mike (Pat) Pyles of North Carolina, brothers Eddie McCord of Maysville and Dean McCord of Georgia, several nieces and nephews, and a special cousin Jane Collins of Maysville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Pyles, a son Johnny Pyles, brothers Billy Pyles and Phillip McCord, and sister Roberta Kinner. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. There will be no visitation. Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May's Lick is serving the family.
