Joseph W. "Joe" Rudy, 84, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 23,2024 at Riverview Health Care in Prestonsburg.   Joe was born in Mason County on May 31,1939 son of the late Charles & Irene Hitt Rudy.  He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Independent Freewill Baptist Church.  He was an avid UK basketball fan and rabbit hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carol Adamson Rudy on December 12, 2011; two brothers, Tommy Rudy, and Ronny Rudy.

Survivors include his sisters, Pam Gullett and Patti (Billy) Getz.  Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Monday January 29, 2024 at Shannon Cemetery with Pastor Danny Howard officiating.  Burial will follow.  Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
