Kathy Arnold Stone, 75, of Lexington, KY, passed away suddenly on October 26, 2024. She was born in Maysville, Kentucky on October 21, 1949, to the late Charles H. and Christine Benson Arnold. She was the beloved wife of Bob Stone, and older sister to the late Cheryl Arnold Brown.  Kathy was a loving mother to her only daughter, Julie, who is married to Jordan Owens, and a cherished grandmother to her three grandchildren: Reece, Jonathan, and Harper of Lexington, KY. She is also a proud aunt to Kristen Brown of Lexington, KY and Patrick Brown of Frisco, CO. Family was her absolute pride and joy.

An active volunteer, Kathy had a generous heart and a passion for giving back to her community. She was deeply connected to her hometown and took great pride in her roots as a Maysville Bulldog. "Bulldogs for life," she would say. She also maintained lifelong friendships with her childhood friends from school and Arrington Avenue.  Kathy was a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky and a loyal supporter and fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.

Kathy was a talented musician who played the French horn, and a meaningful photographer, whose deep passion for the art enabled her to capture the beauty of everyday moments and the essence of those she loved. Through her lens, she created a tapestry of memories that will forever remind us of her always toting her camera around. Her photographs were not just images; they were reflections of her heart, preserving the joy and love she shared with all of us.

Kathy will be remembered for her kindness, her bright smile, and the many lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.

A memorial visitation will be held to honor Kathy's life on Sunday, November 10th, 2024, at Crestwood Christian Church 1882 Bellefonte Drive, Lexington, KY 40503 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  A memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM to celebrate her life.  Immediately following the service, a reception will take place in the church hall for friends and family to gather and share memories.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in the Maysville Cemetery at a later date.  Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
