MAY'S LICK   Wanda Kay Stitt Burton, 63, of May's Lick passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at her residence.  She was the widow of Elmer L. Burton whose death occurred in 1987.  She was a retired Woodman of the World Insurance Agent and a member of Sardis Assembly of God Church.
Kay was born in Mason County on June 22, 1947 daughter of the late Thomas E. "Buck" and Florence Swartz Stitt.
Survivors include a son Kevin (Julie) Burton of May's Lick and a daughter Kim (Matt) Applegate of Frankfort.  3 grandchildren, Chase & Reese Burton and Molly Lauren Hester.  3 brothers, Arnold (Brenda) Stitt of May's Lick; Billy (Libby) Stitt of Mt. Olivet and Dale (Dina) Stitt of Sardis.  1 sister Brenda (John) Roush of Lexington.  Also 2 special friends, Beulah Mers and Shirley Koeninger.  Several nieces & nephews also survive.  She was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Garrett Stitt.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Rev. Rhonda James officiating.  Interment will follow in the Shannon Cemetery with Derek, Eric, Austin Stitt, Phil Morgan, Johnny Wallingford and George "Bear" Linville serving as pallbearers.  Visitation  6-9 P.M.
