Obituary

Larry Wayne Workman, 69, of Ewing passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on September 21, 1956, in Mason County to the late Everett and Mildred Linville Workman.

Larry devoted his life to agriculture, beginning in his youth by setting tobacco and helping manage dairy cattle. Later he farmed and raised livestock but was especially fond of working with cattle, horses, and mules. He worked with livestock for others as well, including Maysville stockyards and other local cattle farms.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Everett and Mildred Workman and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alonzo and Virginia McGlone.

Those left here to carry on his loving legacy are his wife and best friend of 46 years , Brenda McGlone Workman, his son, Bobby Lee Workman of Hillsboro; three siblings, Joyce (Gary) Lindberg of Flemingsburg, Paula Arthurs of Brooksville, Chris (Cathy) Workman of Greenville, SC; nieces and nephews, Holly (Scott) McCord of Cowan, Caitlin (Colton); many cousins, great nieces, nephews, and extended family and good friends. Larry also leaves behind his two beloved fur babies, Lily and Annie.

A memorial service will be held to honor Larry’s life on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Ewing Baptist Church beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to the hour of service at the church.
