Louis Mason, 78, of Maysville passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at St Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Mr. Mason was born in Mason County on June 11, 1941                     son of the late Oliver & Elizabeth Wells Mason. He was a lifelong tobacco & cattle farmer and a draft horse enthusiast. Louis was a veteran of the US Army and a Kentucky Colonel and member of the Washington Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years Carol Allison Mason.  A daughter, Allison (Kirk) Alexander and granddaughter Kylie Alexander of Mt. Olivet: a sister Ceclia Marple of Maysville; a nephew Brent (Jennifer) Marple.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family with Dr. Mike Rice officiating. Burial was in the Shannon Cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family. Memorials suggested to the charity of one's choice. Condolences for the family left at www.palmerfuneralhome.net
